Authentic Ryukyu Tsumugi (Okinawa Silk) - Yuntanza Hanaori Handled by Tokyo Masuiwaya This is a hand-woven tsumugi (silk fabric) made of soft silk floss. Yuntanza is a very rare type of weaving. The front is Hanaori (flower weave), and the back has kasuri (ikat) threads running throughout. There is no certification tag, but the close-up photos of the weave show that it is hand-woven. Because the threads run on the back, it is a warm tsumugi for winter. Although it is silk floss, it has a luster. There is a slight stain on both collar points.
