This is a lidded bowl made with genuine lacquer. The lid is decorated with a beautiful gold-colored plum blossom crest. This is a valuable piece dating back to 1795 (Kansei 7), and its construction is clearly different from those of the Meiji and Taisho eras, with a thin, slightly warped body and a somewhat dull vermilion color. It also has some value as a valuable historical artifact from the Edo period. There are small chips on all the rims. Other than that, there are no noticeable cracks or chips. Due to the nature of lacquerware, minor imperfections are unavoidable, and while I have checked as carefully as possible, I would appreciate your understanding.
