In 1874, Charles F. Orvis developed a reel with holes in the spool, which he named CFO. This reel is a reproduction of the earliest model. I acquired this for display purposes and have never spooled line on it. However, I've had it mounted on a rod and hanging on the wall for many years, so there is some dulling and minor rust. It does not have the shine of a new item. A walnut box is included. The handle is removed for storage. There are fine scratches on the surface of the box.
