This is a Selmer Concept mouthpiece for soprano saxophone. This model was released around the time the Concept came out, and it felt like all soprano players switched to it. Compared to current models, it has less resistance, allowing for a straighter airflow, and features the smooth, less edgy tone characteristic of the Concept. The tip opening feels slightly narrower than current models. It can be played easily even with a hard reed. I bought this while attending music college, and since then I've tried other models and Concept mouthpieces, but I always came back to this one; it's that good. I used it with Vandoren Blue Box 3.5, V21 3.5, and Légère 3.50 and 3.75 reeds. There are some scratches on the top of the mouthpiece from when I was using a Silverstein ligature, and a scratch at the beak from removing a patch that wouldn't come off easily. (Neither of these affect the tone, playability, or performance at all.) I'm selling it because I don't play soprano as often anymore, and I'm currently using a jazz mouthpiece for soprano. It's a very good mouthpiece, so I hope you'll consider it.
