Showa Retro
This is a "Hato-guruma" (pigeon cart).
I'm decluttering my parents' house.
A long time ago, in the Showa era, they used to collect Hato-guruma.
Some of the items I'm selling have already sold, but although they are vintage, this one was apparently stored almost entirely in its box.

The one in the back left is the Hato-guruma for sale.
Production has been discontinued,
making this a very valuable item.
It comes with its original box and instructions.
I think it's in relatively good condition, but as it's an old Hato-guruma, there is some deterioration commensurate with its age.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about condition.
Those who love old folk toys and understand their nature, please consider purchasing.

The local toy "Hato-guruma" (pigeon cart) from Nozawa Onsen, Shinshu, is a long-selling product.
Unfortunately, production has stopped because there is no successor to continue manufacturing it.
In the past, there were many akebi vines around Nozawa Onsen village, and folk tools were made using those vines.
The Hato-guruma was originally made from akebi vines, but due to a shortage and rising prices of the raw materials, it came to be made from rattan vines.
Therefore, when newly made, they are white, and over time they change to a渋い飴色 (shibu-ame-iro - a deep, reddish-brown color), increasing their flavor.
Some customers even prefer the display items that have changed color over the brand new white ones.
