This is a genuine item from the Edo period. There are few of these types of armor, with only a few pieces on display at the Saitama Prefectural Museum and local museums. It is in its original condition from the time, with no major repairs. The lacing thread has broken in several places due to aging, but we have intentionally not repaired it. The torso and kusazuri (tassets) are made of iron.
