Kyoko Fukada, who was active as an idol actress in her early career, made her film debut and also sang the theme song for this school mystery. A high school girl, the head of the drama club played by Fukada, attempts to stage a play based on a tragic love story passed down at the school for the school festival, but becomes involved in an unexpected series of murders. The original work is the novel of the same name by Jiro Akagawa, and the director is Tetsuo Shinohara, known for "Ogawa no Hotori" and "Hanasen". Co-stars include Masaya Kato as the drama club advisor, Jinpachi Nezu as the protagonist's father, and Yasutaka Tsutsui, a science fiction writer who is also an actor, as the school principal.
