This is a deep dish from the Meiji era, decorated with vibrant floral patterns and gold gilding. I believe my mother used it as a candy dish for auspicious occasions like New Year's and the Doll Festival. The elegant yet detailed and luxurious design, the elaborate lobed shape, and the pomegranate design on the inside of the foot ring lead me to believe my mother's words, "It was expensive back then," are true. There is some wear on the gold gilding on the upper part, but the condition is good. The wooden box is likely a combined box. It has some discoloration.
