I purchased this at an antique market in Kyoto over 10 years ago. It's a handmade brooch created around the Showa 30s (1955-1964). It's approximately 4 centimeters in diameter. This very cute brooch is made by wrapping a stone in felt and hand-embroidering it. The use of beads gives it a distinctly Showa retro feel. This brooch is entirely handmade, and the stitches are not perfectly even. It's a handmade piece by a general individual. I have kept it stored at home, unused.
