This is a Gretsch 42-strand snare wire. It was originally attached to a Gretsch snare drum (purchased new) that I own, but I'm not a fan of the 42-strand type, so I'm selling it. I've used it a few times, but I think it's still perfectly usable. As you can see in the fourth photo, there is some rust. Personally, I don't think it affects the sound, but I don't recommend it to those who are concerned. As a bonus, I'll also include a Ludwig snare wire and a Gibraltar 42-strand snare wire. The Ludwig snare wire was attached to a used Ludwig snare drum I purchased, and I don't know how much it was used. One of the cords is missing, but it can still be used. Please consider it as a bonus. The Gibraltar 42-strand snare wire was purchased new to compare with the Gretsch one, and I only used it once. It's clean with no scratches, so it's a great deal as a set.
