This is an old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It features a refined gold rim and black lacquer with an elegant pine, bamboo, and plum (shochikubai) design in chinkin (gold inlay). With its auspicious shochikubai motif and generous size, it's perfect for New Year's mochi soup (ozoni). There are some storage scratches, a minor paint imperfection as seen in image 13, and scratches as seen in image 18, but overall it is in good condition.
