This is from my pottery-loving mother's collection, and has been stored at home for a long time. The bottom of the teacups are a smooth, different material on a white base. The teapot has an integrated ceramic tea strainer, and all pieces bear the mark of Jitsuyama. Jitsuyama Ito is a traditional craftsman. He is over 85 years old and continues to make teapots, but it seems there are only a few craftsmen left who make Banko-yaki.
