This is a DAT deck released by SONY in 1991, originally priced at ¥88,000. This is a repaired unit, as it was originally a non-functional item. The power supply failure was due to leakage from a 6800μF electrolytic capacitor. The leaking capacitor and surrounding capacitors have been replaced with audio-grade capacitors. Resistors and other components around the leakage area that may have been affected, as well as high-heat transistors, have been replaced. Damaged circuit board patterns have been bypassed with lead wires. The mechanical section has undergone maintenance, including preventing the detachment of resin fasteners, tape guide and reel unit inspection/correction, removal of the sponge head cleaner, inspection and cleaning of the rotating drum, pinch roller rubber replacement, and contact restoration treatment of the cartridge detection switch. Additionally, the RF amplifier has had its chip-type electrolytic capacitors on the board replaced. The main board has had its memory battery replaced with a general-purpose button battery socket and a general-purpose button battery. The mute circuit transistor at power-on has been replaced as a preventative measure. The tape path has not been adjusted, as tapes recorded on other machines play back normally. Both recording and playback are normal. A used DAT tape used for testing will be included for listening. The exterior has been touched up on the master volume, as the paint was worn. Otherwise, it is in beautiful condition with no scratches. There is no remote control. While it is currently operating normally, it is a product that is over 30 years old.
