This is a deep bowl with a wash of vermilion and a lacquer finish. I think the green of a salad would look great in it. It's a versatile size, suitable for serving simmered dishes, chirashi sushi, somen noodles, and even as a confectionery bowl. It was kept at my parents' house, unused.
