This is a set of a mortar and pestle that was used every year to let elementary school children and toddlers make mochi. It says "for children," but adults can enjoy it just as much. We used to place the mortar on a table and pound the mochi. The mortar is incredibly heavy. I haven't weighed it because it's stored in the warehouse, but a sales website says it weighs 15kg.
