Elegant flared skirt from Leilian, a high-end women's clothing brand, featuring an all-over floral embroidery in gold thread. The design incorporates a seam below the abdomen to avoid adding volume, with the embroidery and gathering starting from that point. This creates a streamlined waist, and the skirt is designed to sway gracefully with each step. The scalloped hemline also features meticulous embroidery. To prevent added weight in the floral and leaf patterns, a technique called "eyelet" is used, which involves making small cuts in the fabric and then stitching around them with embroidery thread – a highly intricate technique, as you can see in the close-up photos. I was drawn to the craftsmanship and purchased this skirt at the Leilian boutique in Nihonbashi Takashimaya.
