Thank you for viewing. I am selling a set of 5 Ten-ga Flutes. The maker is Mr. Tenga Takeda (Hiroshima Prefecture). One is a 1 shaku 5 sun (approx. 45cm) long Koteki flute, a type of bamboo flute. This is a total of 6 flutes for sale. Each has a unique tone and a beautiful sound. These are valuable shinobue flutes that are no longer made. They are similar to a shakuhachi but are played sideways. They are the type of shinobue with a back hole like the Misato flute, so it is recommended to play them with a slight "meri-fuki" (downward blowing) technique. There is a wind hole at the end of the tube. There are no cracks in the tubes. These are used items, so there is some wear and tear, but we appreciate your understanding. *The last photo includes an explanation of the Tenga flute.
