When I bought them, the gold leaf on the insole was peeling off, and only a little gold leaf remained on the number on the ankle. The soles have been resoled, but the heels are worn, so they will probably need to be repaired. The size is 23.5cm, as indicated by the barely visible "23½" on the inside, but they are roomy enough to fit me, who usually wears 24-24.5cm. I bought them intending to fix them myself, but I couldn't wear them for long periods, so I'm reluctantly letting them go.
