"Shichidanka" was introduced in "Flora Japonica," written by Philipp Franz von Siebold, a German physician and naturalist who came to Japan in the late Edo period. However, since then, no Japanese person had seen the real thing, and it was sought after for a long time, called the "phantom hydrangea." Then, by chance, it was discovered in 1959 on the west side of the Rokko Cable. This was about 130 years after Siebold introduced it. With this discovery, "Shichidanka" came to be treated as a famous flower of Kobe. This "Shichidanka," though not flashy, has a beautiful appearance that sways in the wind, like a fairy. This time, we will sell these beautiful fairies in a set of five postcards. The postcard paper uses a silk-like finish on the photo side and matte paper on the address side.
