However, it wouldn't turn on even after repeatedly flipping the switch at the room entrance, and it turned out the light fixture itself was faulty. The item for sale was purchased from Amazon and was once installed in the fixture after being opened. It's practically new and unused, but the box has some minor damage. I have no way to confirm if it works, so I haven't been able to test it, but I believe it should light up without issue.
