This is a set of two vintage rubber dolls made in the USA around the 1950s. The back has the following inscription: MFG. BY THE SUN RUBBER CO. BARBERTON, OHIO MADE IN U.S.A. © RUTH E. NEWTON This is a popular collector's series designed by Ruth E. Newton. The squeaker on the boy doll is functional. When the girl doll is squeezed, it makes a sound as if air is escaping. There is discoloration and scuffing due to age, and a small crack on the girl doll (in the crotch area), but they are in good condition for vintage items. The girl doll can stand on her own, but may be slightly unstable depending on how she is placed. Recommended for those who like American vintage, antique雑貨 (zakka - miscellaneous goods), and Mid-Century items.
