Price reduced! This is a tribal mask, hand-carved from clay and painted. It was purchased 41 years ago at a flea market in Paris. I bought it from an African vendor, but I forgot to ask which tribe it belonged to, so I don't know which African ethnic group it's from. I suspect it might be from the Makonde people who live in southern Tanzania, but it's uncertain. It's intended as a decorative item, such as a wall hanging. The size is approximately 22 x 16 x 5 cm.
