This is a kimono with the Akina Bara pattern of Oshima Tsumugi. Akina Bara is a traditional pattern inspired by the bamboo baskets called Sanbara in the Akina district of Ryukyu Town, Amami Oshima. The impression of Akina Bara varies greatly depending on the color and size of the pattern, but on this kimono, the pattern is woven in blue and white on a dark brown background, close to black. The small size of the pattern makes it modern and chic to wear. There are some thread pulls on the surface fabric. Please check images 10, 11, and 12. Images 10 and 11 show the most noticeable ones.
