I purchased this new and only test-played it. It seems to have been handled with extreme care, as there are no scratches from the ligature. Perhaps due to the facing and the modest multi-stage high baffle structure, I felt that the sound wasn't overly "metal-like." I felt that it was a good mouthpiece, with excellent playability and sound. Thank you for your purchase.
