This is due to the rising costs of all our raw materials (reeds, rattan, hat wood, gas cylinders, and blueprints). We have made this difficult decision after careful consideration. We appreciate your understanding regarding this price increase, as we have been selling at the previous price until now. We hope for your continued support. In relation to Gagaku (Japanese Imperial Court Music), we are offering Hichiriki reeds, lacquered paulownia boxes for Hichiriki, lacquered Hichiriki tubes that can store reeds with the instrument, and lacquered Ryuteki flutes. Everything is handmade by my father-in-law, so it may take some time to complete your order. We come from a Gagaku family. My siblings and I play the Hichiriki, Sho, Koto, and Kakko, and I, by chance, practice the Ryuteki. We sometimes perform together at funerals. I am selling these items on behalf of my father-in-law, who makes them by hand. Thank you for your patronage. ● About the Products ● Basically, since these are handmade by my father-in-law, we inspect them before shipping. However, in the rare event of a defective product, please contact us before leaving a review. Also, regarding the sale of reeds, there are some reeds that are considered "B-grade" during production (they don't significantly affect playing, but have cosmetic imperfections). We may include one as a service when shipping, if available. ● About Shipping ● Items shipped via standard mail will be sent directly from the post office. Please note that orders placed on holidays or before weekends may be delayed accordingly. Finally, you may see my reeds listed on Amazon, etc., but these are being sold by resellers. Please be aware of this and avoid purchasing them at inflated prices. We plan to list other unwanted items in the future.
