The JM-58 "Velvetone" is an upgraded model of the JM-59 "The Master," which has been loved by RetroTone Pickups for over 10 years. Through efforts to improve the volume balance between the neck and bridge pickups, the winding count differs by approximately 2,000 turns between the two positions, a unique tuning for F-style pickups. The neck pickup eliminates the muddy low frequencies, achieving a more brilliant and rich sound. The bridge pickup gains the thickness and sustain that were previously lacking, resulting in a very user-friendly sound. The JM was developed as F's top-of-the-line model and has been loved by many players. Taking into account the characteristics of this guitar, which has a unique bridge structure and a different harmonic feel from other guitars due to the distance between the tailpiece and bridge, the Velvetone incorporates over 10 years of RetroTone's research. It delivers the ultimate JM sound, combining thickness and sparkling high frequencies. With a modern arrangement of the old JMPU coil design, the magnets and coils are designed to fully bring out the potential of the JM as its top model. It accurately reproduces the nuances of the player's fingertips, and is characterized by deep, lustrous clean tones and thick, three-dimensional distortion.
