This is one of the earliest aluminum cases from RIMOWA, featuring an embossed melon pattern surface that predates the grooved aluminum sheets said to be inspired by the Junkers aircraft. This retro piece is a valuable relic, worthy of a museum, marking a significant chapter in RIMOWA's history. It has a beautifully polished surface and a unique texture, similar to the "HAMMERSCHLA" hand-carry case (¥348,700), a limited edition re-release of the 1966 aluminum case from last year. This case is from 60 years ago. While there are minor scratches and slight rust (on the hinges, etc.) on the exterior, there are no major scratches or dents that would detract from its historical value or silhouette, and it is considered to be in good antique condition. There is no damage, such as roughness, splintering, or significant oxidation, to the embossed melon pattern aluminum surface. The interior has been restored with a fabric liner and re-applied sponge, reminiscent of the original specifications, making it practical for use. You may detect a slight, retro scent characteristic of cases that have been closed for a long time.
