This is a cassette recorder my grandfather used to own. I plugged in the adapter and tested it, and while it powers on, the two tape spindles don't turn. When I press the fast forward or rewind buttons, there's a whirring mechanical sound. I haven't tested it with batteries, but he always used the adapter, and apparently only put batteries in it a few times. It's a pretty old recorder, so there are scratches and other signs of wear. The SONY logo is missing. I don't have much knowledge about this, and it's a non-functional item. Therefore, I cannot offer any warranty after purchase. Please understand this before you buy.
