Tape Inspection Points: The following checks were performed, and only tapes that passed are being offered for sale. ① Fast-forward one side to check the running condition. - Check for smooth running to the end. - Specifically check that the back coating does not stick to the tension arm or pinch roller. ※ In the worst case, the deck will stop, and it will be very difficult to recover. - Check for magnetic material degradation... In severe cases, brown powder will scatter on the head and tape guide parts. ② After the above checks are completed, run the tape at 19cm in recording mode and check the following: - How the magnetic powder falls off. - Record a CD and perform simultaneous monitoring to check that recording is being done correctly at several points. ※ This will also align the tape winding. ③ Erase the recorded content with a tape eraser. ④ Put the tape in a plastic bag... If the original bag is clean, it will be used. Plastic bags are quite important. Open reel tapes are prone to mold, so please store them in plastic bags. ※ Room temperature is fine. Of course, direct sunlight is not allowed, but a normal audio room or study is OK. Most of these tapes have been stored in my home audio room for over 30 years. Also, most of them were purchased used, and I will be listing more in the future, but all will be listed after the above checks. An AKAI GX-747 is used for the checks. Therefore, I cannot guarantee how they will perform on your deck. Basically, no claims and no returns. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a new-like condition. There are open reel tapes where the back coating of a specific manufacturer is absolutely not good. Basically, those without back coating are better now, but some with coating are also usable, and you may be unsure of the judgment. Also, even those without coating can be unusable if they are too old and the magnetic material is crumbling. As mentioned above, the running condition has been checked, but since they are old, there may be dropouts or some magnetic powder shedding, so please understand.
