The patterns are delicately etched onto the crystal surface using acid etching (oxidation corrosion technique), and then 24K gold gilt is applied with a brush, a process that requires time and skill. The gold gilt creates shadows along the unevenness of the etching, and the brilliance when it catches the light is exceptional. The curves of the acanthus and the color of the gold gilt resonate with each other, creating harmony and splendor when the two pieces are placed side by side.
