This is a set of five hand-painted side dishes designed by Masatoshi Saeki, a ceramic artist selected as one of "10 Designers of the World" by the International Museum of Ceramic Art in Faenza, Italy, who passed away in 2019. These dishes are from the 1970s and are no longer in production. Due to the hand-painted nature of the design, each piece has a unique design, giving them a distinctive hand-painted feel. Please note that there are some minor scratches. "Kannyu" refers to the fine crack patterns that appear on the surface of the glaze due to the difference in shrinkage between the ceramic body and the glaze during the cooling process after firing. This does not affect the strength of the dish and has been enjoyed as a beautiful pattern since ancient times.
