From the early Showa era or possibly older, likely silk. The black base has fine beige threads woven in, a pattern often seen in old men's kimonos. The most noticeable stain is around the collar, and there is some fading on the shoulders, but it should be fine for repurposing... I think? The lining is cotton and has some stains. A haori (kimono jacket) with the same pattern is also available. Retro kimono.
