It has the strength to easily handle fish over 120cm, and I think it pairs well with a Shimano 6000-series reel. I don't think a high-end rod is necessary for dorado fishing, as they thrash around on the boat. The first one was broken by a dorado, as expected, and this is the second one, so it has been used only a few times.
