This is a used, genuine Polish military aluminum mess kit with OD paint. The lid and body are stamped with the year 1986. The deep lid can be used as a frying pan and can also be set on the body in reverse, allowing you to cook rice in the body and simmer food in the lid simultaneously (Photos 19-20). Approximate dimensions (measured): Body only: 11.5cm (H) x 16cm (W) x 9cm (D) Lid only: 7.5cm (H) x 17cm (W) x 9.5cm (D) The total height with the lid on the body is approximately 15cm. The weight is approximately 468g, making it a convenient size for solo camping. The lid fits snugly, but it can be a little difficult to open due to its depth.
