These are children's clogs (geta) measuring 20cm. They will look great with a kimono and make for wonderful photos. There is considerable dirt and damage, with the painted areas peeling and the black base showing through as white. They are made by hollowing out wood, and there is a bell inside, so they make a tinkling sound when you walk. However, one bell is missing! The top surface is made of real tatami, and the sides are painted with gold maki-e (lacquer).
