This is a matcha tea bowl from the Kaneto Kiln of Tamba ware. Tamba (Tachikui) ware is a beautiful pottery designated as a National Traditional Craft. Each piece is handmade, and because it is Tamba ware fired with care and effort, you can feel the difference in its color depth and texture compared to others. In addition, the head of the kiln, "Kaneto Kiln," Keiichi Shimizu, has received numerous awards, including selection for the Nitten Exhibition and the Hyogo Prefecture Art Encouragement Prize.
