This is a Mach One violin shoulder rest made of ash. It's a used item, so it shows some signs of wear, but I've taken good care of it, and I think the condition is still pretty good. Please check the photos carefully, as there are some scratches. It's famous as the material used for baseball bats. Compared to the standard maple, it has higher strength and weight, which tends to give the sound a sense of depth and "core." Indeed, it's a hard wood, and although it's light, it feels very sturdy. From my experience using it with my new instruments, it gave the impression of good sound projection. I weighed it, and it was 49g with the feet attached. The feet are still usable, but they show some signs of aging, so if they don't fit, please purchase replacement feet at a musical instrument store. Since this is a used item, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about the signs of wear. It won't fit in the packaging box as is, so I will ship it with the feet detached.
