There is deterioration due to age. There is discoloration. I believe it's new since it came from a toy store, but there were signs of it being opened, so it's being sold as used/junk. The battery cover is stiff, and there was a risk of damage, so the operation has not been confirmed. The instruction manual seems to be quite rare.
