It comes with a wooden box inscribed by Raku Kichizaemon, the 9th generation, Nyu. It also comes with a wooden box inscribed by Urasenke's 8th generation, Mugensai. The inscription reads "Yamanishiki" (Mountain Brocade). Chonyu's red tea bowls are characterized by the warm red glaze and a powerful yet refined form. This piece also well conveys that charm.
