This is a mouthpiece made by Scott Laskey, a former technician at Silky who makes mouthpieces for many professional players, including Jon Faddis. The inner diameter is slightly larger than a Bach 10-1/2. The rim is flat and thick. It has a soft feel that makes it comfortable even with hard pressing. It has an SV cup shape, dropping vertically from the rim to the cup, forming a second cup. Although shallow, the design prevents the lips from touching the inner cup wall, allowing for unobstructed lip vibration and reducing fatigue. The throat is #28 (3.57mm). The shoulder area just before the throat is slightly thicker. The backbore is similar to a Warburton 9. The total length is 85.3mm, and the shank end is polished and not plated. This mouthpiece has a good response and a brilliant, core sound. It has a design that provides good note connection and easy lip control. It is recommended for players who need high notes, such as those in wind band pop music, big bands, ska, and horn sections. There are small scratches and scuffs on the rim, body, shank, and shank end. There are no scratches that affect performance.
