This is a Grand Bass C flute from Tsuchibue Kobo Pieta. It's a powerful instrument that plays the lowest notes in a seven-part tsuchibue ensemble. It's about 30 centimeters long and has a diameter of about 15 centimeters! The lowest note is B, and the highest is around E♭. The finger holes get quite large, which I believe limits the range, so I've set it to this. The low notes, which sound like an owl's hoot, are very interesting and impactful. You can play it standing up, but I think the most stable playing style is to sit, cross your legs, and rest the flute on your knees. It's a flute that will really blow you away, making it a fun and interesting conversation piece.
