This is a Tetsume Kanzashi (iron ring) by Onishi Seiemon, a kama (iron kettle) artisan of the Senke Jisshoku (Ten Masters of the Sen family). Tea utensils by the Senke Jisshoku are positioned as the highest peak of crafts in the tea ceremony. This item was kept by my grandmother, who was a tea ceremony instructor for many years. The accompanying box shows deterioration due to long-term storage, but the Kanzashi itself has no scratches or rust and is in good condition. Although it is a long-term storage item, it is a top-of-the-line product made by Onishi Seiemon, so we would appreciate it if those who appreciate it would consider purchasing it.
