The D-20 is a dreadnought acoustic guitar constructed with a solid African mahogany top, back, and sides. Released in 1968, this model features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and a very light satin finish that brings out the true voice of this guitar. The vintage-reproduced rosette and the mother-of-pearl Guild peak logo inlay on the headstock create a beautiful appearance. This is a USA model, and the sound is quite different compared to the current Korean-made models. The USA-made version has a more full and organic impression, without any unpleasant harshness, and the sound, while clear, has a certain softness that is very pleasant to the ear. Also, the sound of the all-solid wood, felt by hand and heard by ear, is as expected. It's not just that "it sounds good because it's all solid wood," but it's a wonderful guitar that achieves a reliable sound unique to GUILD, produced by utilizing the experience and know-how accumulated over the years.
