This line of products faithfully reproduces and completely revives the assets of the "Archives," such as materials and designs, cultivated over CHAMPION's history of over 100 years. This is a 1st patent model crew neck sweatshirt, a revival of the earliest "REVERSE WEAVE" developed in 1934 and patented in 1938. The REVERSE WEAVE manufacturing method was devised by Sam Friedland, a salesman with experience as a cutter at the American men's clothing store Hickey Freeman, after being pointed out by customers about "shrinkage due to washing." He experimented and struggled to solve this problem. By using the fabric horizontally, which was originally used vertically, he succeeded in reducing shrinkage. This reproduction product faithfully recreates the manufacturing method of the time, such as the seamless shoulder made from a single piece of fabric without seams on the shoulders, and the pattern created from tubular sweatshirts.
