This is silk tsumugi that was stored at my parents' home. It is a hand-woven tsumugi fabric made with genuine silk floss yarn. This is a **special weave (custom order)** item planned by a kimono shop and is not a mass-produced item. It appears to have been sold at department stores around the 1970s-80s. It has a soft, airy feel, and features a deep reddish color created by multi-colored yarn-dyeing. It has a color that is not found in modern items. The neps (knots) are natural, and it has the unique texture of silk floss tsumugi. It is a new, unused fabric, and has not been tailored or used. There is no origin certification, but because it is genuine silk, hand-woven, and a special weave, it is a high-quality fabric as a material.
