The opening can be closed with a button. There is only one compartment inside for small items (see image 13). The handles are made of synthetic leather. I regularly cleaned the bag with EFNAL care:DOWN CARE detergent purchased from SHIPS, applying it to a towel and wiping the body of the bag (not used on the handles).
