When the dragonfly is placed on the branch (also antique iron), it sways with a delicate balance, creating an atmosphere of elegance and wabi-sabi. Dragonflies are believed to bring good fortune, such as "success in competition," "rising in the world," and "praying for victory," and were favored by many warlords during the Warring States period. They were also favored by figures like Sen no Rikyu and were displayed in "tea rooms" and treasured in samurai residences.
