It is a pale yellow (cream color) and can be used by both boys and girls. The material is soft, so it won't be scratchy even for infants with little hair. For reference, we used this around size 60. (It could be used at size 70, but it was best around 60-65.) When the baby was younger, the front part would fall over their eyes, so I sewed it up slightly to keep it higher than the back.
