There are signs of use such as scratches, stains, chips, and bite marks from two generations of Golden Hamsters. I washed it with water and cleaned urine stains with baking soda and vinegar, but there is some stubborn dirt on the egg-shaped house. Please let me know if you don't need it. After drying, I wiped it with non-alcohol disinfectant wipes, but there may be scratches and stains other than what is visible in the product images.
