This is a bolt of authentic Ryukyu Tsumugi fabric. It features an "igeta" (well frame) pattern, a representative design of Ryukyu Kasuri. This traditional woven fabric is characterized by its unique colors achieved through plant and mud dyeing, and geometric patterns called "kasuri." It's known for its light yet durable texture. This particular fabric has a beautiful Ryukyu Kasuri design, with a blue-gray background and a check (grid) pattern created by thin lines of white, yellow, and red. Within the grid are yellow crosses and other kasuri patterns. We recommend having this made into a single-layered kimono for your enjoyment. Fabric width: 37 cm Length: Approximately 12 meters
